From July 13-15, 2023, members gathered at NYU Langone Health in New York City to strengthen the Consortium’s foundation through a dynamic visioning session focused on its future. The Summit featured informative presentations from peer organizations, including the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council and Big City Emergency Managers, who shared best practices designed to help guide the Consortium in solidifying itself as an organization. Participants also laid the groundwork for formal bylaws and the formation of a Steering Committee. Engaging activities included a Newtown Creek Alliance tour and a panel discussion on “Reimagining Healthcare Preparedness in a Polycrisis World,” fostering collaboration and strategic thinking across the membership.
